Alphabet Cities – Z is for Zaandam

As I have travelled a bit I am going to try and see if I have one city for each letter in the alphabet. Today it is:

Z is for Zaandam

Zaandam appartement building with the shapes of traditional houses of the area
Just outside Zaandam on the river Zaan, the tourist attractions the Zaanse Schans. The windmills are build on an old defence wall from the 17th century.

I admit the letter Z is a bit late, but there are not that many cities starting with the letter Z.
